I had a wild idea. Vistors to my website may not realize The Omniverse Series is a blog. And so is Excepts. Excerpts is not about any one series or book, just the ones I have finished and registered. I am editing novel number two, The Inn of the Star Crossed. I have already chalked up a rejection on my query letter. Tell me, is it my breath? I have not sent out more than a couple of query letters on The Inn of the Star Crossed. I am also trying to place The Inn at the Crossroads. The... Read More
The World of the Omniverse ranges over a multiverse populated with Elves, Pixies, Faeries, Dragons, Kobolds, Humans and other mythical creatures. At the center of the Omniverse looms the dark, mysterious presence of the Builders, creators of all. But most importantly, it has The Inn at the Crossroads, the mystical hub of the multiuniverse.
This is the series’ blog. Enjoy the posts.
The issue of whether to self publish or not is rearing its ugly and tempting head. The last we had heard of our hero, he had decided to give the traditional channels another chance. That must include Nancy Cleary, a wonderful editor and publisher, who is trying to convince me to self publish with her help. It is a tempting idea. However, I am still stuck in the traditional mode. There is much to be said for tradition. What is it then, that I am after? Is it success? No, I already have success. I’ve been successful for all of... Read More

Bill and Carey Impollonia, innkeepers extraordinaire, are in trouble. Their mystical, magical inn is dissolving around them; all the new furniture, technology and anything they brought with them from California is disappearing. And if that was not a big enough headache, both Carey and... Read More
Holy crap, Ms. Kozak, I wrote 100,000 plus words in a month. Of course, I cheated. I wrote them all in my head a year before and just sat down at the typewriter and typed them. Except, it wasn’t a typewriter but my old crummy and hoary Powerbook G4 15″ laptop. I just pretended I was at my manual Royal pounding out the words. I knocked out my second novel, Inn of the Star Crossed, 80,000 words, in only three months, not including research into the 19th Century. And make no mistake, as they say on the NaNoWriMo website, according... Read More
